Rob: Do we want to get together as interested GT parents and discuss this?

Here’s my input in case we don’t get to meet — we need more GT! More resources, more attention, more time in GT, more support for GT and Carla, more education and training for the classroom teachers and the administration and counselor about GT students and their needs and about differentiation in the classroom, and more coordination with the curriculum. Also, GT kids need to be grouped together — at least 3 to a class — so that they will have GT peers in class. This also alleviates them feeling like “outsiders”. Maddie was the only GT kid in her class last year and this year, there is one other GT kid in her class — a boy — but that’s it.

Rob, Just sent you an email. Sorry, but I had the trip still down in November. For the December date, we need to either go in the AM or cancel our attendance. From this roster, looks like this change will help the Gross family but I see that the AM is full so please put us on back up.
